THE BIG PHONE HOME EVENT FOR UAP TRANSPARENCY
On Saturday April 24th, 2021, an online event is taking place with the aim of petitioning our global government officials to disclose to the public information regarding the subject of Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP). In effect we are asking for public transparency, to #EndUAPSecrecy. We believe this is a subject worth having a serious conversation about, especially as it pertains to potential technological, scientific and environmental advancements which could benefit the whole of the planet, at a time when change is so desperately needed. State, financial and religious institutions have held themselves in too high regard for centuries and it is time that the public was released from the oppressive iron grip of secrecy.
We are requesting that our elected officials stop hiding behind official secrets acts, non-disclosure agreements and to stop thinking in terms of ‘Us vs Them’ when it comes to sharing information with other nations. No single nation should have sovereignty over the Earth or the immediate near-Space environment, we should all be working together for the benefit of humankind and advancing as a species, rather than remaining oblivious in a pool of stagnant tribalism. Shadows Of Your Mind magazine recently spoke with #theBIGPHONEHOME event organiser Luis Jimenez and why now is the time for the public to get onboard and dispel the stigma.
ONE DAY IN the future people will ask “Where were you when the UAP community teamed up and got their representatives to talk seriously about the subject?” Well, hopefully, you’ll be able to say “Son, I was on a podcast called The Unidentified Celebrity Review calling my senator live on air.” That’s the aim of a huge new movement called ‘The Big Phone Home’, created by actor Luis Jimenez, who is putting his efforts in organising a whole day of public campaigning to ensure that elected officials are aware that the UAP subject is a one worthy of serious conversation. Interest in UAPs has increased with the recent news spots from Former Director of National Intelligence, John Ratcliffe and senators Marco Rubio and Mark Warner; a podcast interview by Tyler Cowen with former Director of the CIA, John Brennan; add to that the various news clips with Luis Elizondo and Christopher Mellon, witness testimonies from military observers, the UAPTF report gaining traction - or not - NBA stars mentioning UFO sightings and the likes of multi-talented musician Post Malone visiting Skinwalker Ranch… well you get the idea. UAPs are suddenly big news, and the press wants in.
So what exactly is ‘The Big Phone Home’, why does it matter and how can you get involved? Luis gave us the lowdown.
SOYM: How did you come up with this idea?
Luis Jimenz: We all listen to all sorts of podcasts and a lot of them end by encouraging their audience to get in touch with Congress, to try and get as much possible information from the government. The problem with that is that you’re only one person. I feel like, to motivate one person to do that on their own, just by saying it at the end of their show, it’s a little lacklustre. So I thought, well, how could we get people to actually do this? And it hit me like a ton of bricks like, ‘duh, do a telethon!’
I had an interview coming up with Alejandro Rojas on my show and it was sort of like one of my first really, really big interviews, so I asked him, what’s a good idea to get people to call Congress and get activated on a political level to demand more UAP and UFO information from them? That’s how The Big Phone Home sort of spawned, when I realised we could all do it on the same day!
I thought that if we all called Congress on the same day in the United States, and not only my show, and if I could get a commitment from people like Alejandro Rojas and Luis Elizondo, I think it could cause some waves, it could be a real movement. I don’t know how big it will be so it’s important that folks manage expectations as well as activating yourself and getting involved. This is not just a UFO/UAP issue. This is an American issue, this is a UK issue, a European issue. This is getting people to be active with their governments to bring about the change that they want to see.
SOYM: What can we expect on Saturday, April 24th?
LJ: I’m going to be doing a live stream for my show the entire day. I’m going to be calling members of Congress starting with my own district and State. I’m encouraging all the people involved to call into the show. We’ve worked out time slots so there will be some guests and we can talk a little bit, maybe make a phone call live. The idea is to get everybody to not only commit on a verbal level, but commit in real life on the day, then come on the show and make a phone call in front of a live audience in real time. And I think that will help motivate more people to say, ‘hey, if this guy can do it, why can’t I?’ It’s a very, very simple thing that we’re doing.
We’re have all of the information that you need to get this done through the website. We have a script worked out, there’ll be links to the phone numbers of the representatives in your area. We’re going to give you all the tools that you could possibly need to sit down at a desk and make a couple of phone calls. We’re going to make it as inclusive and as open as we possibly can.

LJ: This is about coming together on one common goal. We all know that our governments have more information on this topic and we’re going to try and demand as much of that information out of them as we possibly can. They’re not going to do it unless we ask for it. So we might as well all get together on the same day, get all of these different philosophies, talk to one another, introduce ourselves to one another.
I’m not a big religious guy, but my favourite part when I used to go to church was when the priest would ask you to say hello to your neighbor and give them a handshake or a hug and introduce yourself. It was only then would he start the service and that’s sort of what this is. This is a gathering of everyone. All I care about is that you’re down for this effort. LJ: Our website thebigphonehome.com is live and there’s some information on there where you can find out your representatives details, but it will be updated regularly so keep checking. We’re also encouraging people to engage on Twitter ahead of the event and the relevant details will also be on the website. Hopefully it’s something we can do every year, this doesn’t have to be a one year effort. WHAT WE’RE DOING IN THE UK
As we all know, the UK government seems to be inherently uninterested in the subject of UAPs, but that’s not to say that they shouldn’t be. We have a template letter for you to send to your local MP, as well a link to finding all of their relevant contact details. As we near the big weekend we have been engaging as many ministers and members of the press as we can, broadcast and print, to raise awareness all over the UK. We have had some success to date and we can see that the momentum is with us.
From Monday April 26th we will also be launching an official petition on the UK government website to encourage ministers to take this subject seriously. We will be sharing the link on our Twitter feed so please follow us for updates.
